2014 France Potpourri Stamps Booklets

A beautiful 10 stamps booklet featuring a sample of 10 2014 France stamps. These are adhesive and are smaller then the original gummed stamps. They all have face values, none of them are those "Forever" stamps.

Issued on September 25 2014, it was issued for the Philatelic exhibition "Salon Planete Timbre".

Good Luck Adding These 2014 France Souvenir Sheets to Your Collection

The treasures of French philately is a new collection that will be issued over the next 5 years. It will feature 50  line engraved France stamps. Only line engraved stamps that are the most emblematic of this method of printing have been chosen for this collection. Each souvenir sheet has a little bit of history about the stamp depicted.

The first set of 10 mini sheets (10 sheet x 5 years = 50 mini sheets.......!!!!) will be available in pre-release at "Salon Planète Timbres Paris 2014" on June 15th. It is already available to professional re sellers since May 12th.

I do believe they will not only be expensive (120 euros for this year set of 10 souvenir sheets), they will also be scarce. Limited to 30 000 sets I can see some sellers trying to get as many as they can and hoard them until they can sell them back with a scarce premium.

It's a lot of money, 600 euros, if you want them all. Add all the "collector" issues France is doing lately and you are getting a very expensive collection. No wonder some people stop collecting modern French stamps. Oh and there is no way you'll find any of these in used condition.

2014 China-France Joint Issue

France issued 2 new stamps as part of a joint issue with China. The theme is the special, and fragile link between a city and its river. The stamps feature Paris and the Seine and the other one feature the city on Qinhuai and the Nankin river. One is for local mail and the other is for international 20 grams international post.

The Way Of Saint James New France 2014 Souvenir Sheet

This is the third souvenir sheet in a series started in 2012. This year the souvenir sheet depict views from the city of Pons, Moissac, Auch and Bazas. Face values of the stamps are 0,83 euros (which is the rate for 20 grams letters to the European Union countries).

This new France 2014 booklet features 12 different cows found in different French regions. Includes: Armoricaine, Béarnaise, Casta, Bordelaise, Bretonne Pie Noir, Ferrandaise, Lourdaise, Maraîchine, Mirandaise, Nantaise, Saosnoise and illard de Lans. These are all rare cows, protected and raised because they are part of the French patrimony. The don't produce as much as our modern cows, but are important nonetheless.

2014 France Valentine Hearts Postage Stamps: Baccarat

This year glass maker Baccarat has the honor of being featured on the Valentine themed heart stamps. Since 2000 (with the exception of 2002), this honor have always been awarded to the French fashion designers such as Chanel, Cacharel, Lanvin etc.

These come in souvenir sheet and 2 values both on gummed and adhesive back.

2 Booklets are The First 2014 France Stamps Issues: Physics And Astrology

The first 2014 stamps were issued today as a 12 stamps booklet. A  very colorful booklet named "dynamiques" on the topic of the physics of movement.

French Postal Service: Price Increase

On January 1st 2013, La Poste updated their prices. Which means..... new Marianne stamps somewhere in the future to reflect this new price structure. Will keep you posted.
